Hardware problems and Accidental Damage
Hardware warranty repair is provided by Advanced MicroElectronics, Inc (AME).   AME is an HP Authorized Service Provider with an on-campus repair site.  Warranty service is provided at no charge.  Major parts replacement is limited to one each year.
Accidental damage repair can be initiated through the AME repair site but actual repairs are performed by HP so your laptop will need to be sent back to HP to perform those repairs.  See the insert that came with your laptop for details about the Accidental Damage Repair program.

Theft Protection
           
Computrace theft protection software is pre-installed, but NOT activated on your laptop.  Please see the Computrace documentation supplied with your computer to activate the Theft Recovery Service.  This service is provided by AbsoluteSoftware.
Information about Computrace is also available in MATH B6.

IMPORTANT:  Please record your serial number.  The serial number is needed for all warranty, repair and theft protection services.
