West Lafayette Academic Campus
All academic, for-credit classes on the West Lafayette Academic Campus will be automatically generated by Banner.
- Will host all for-credit, academic classes.
- All users must have Purdue career accounts to log in to this institution.
- Classes are pushed exclusively from Banner.
- Banner will automatically add and drop students and auditors, and this data is pushed to Blackboard. No students or auditors can be added directly to a Blackboard section; all data comes from Banner.
- Additional Instructors, Teaching Assistants and Designers can be added to a Blackboard section by the
Instructor or a Course Roster Viewer via the
Add Instructor, TA, or Designer application. Designers
can also be added via the grade book.
West Lafayette Open Campus
All non-credit classes where students do not have Purdue career accounts.

Will host all credit and non-credit classes where enrollment includes non-Purdue students.
- All users must create their own accounts.
- Classes are manually created by Teaching and Learning Technologies
upon request.
- Students can be manually enrolled by instructors, or may self-enroll.
- Teaching Assistants and Designers can be added via the grade book.

Purdue Non-Academic Campus
All non-credit, non-academic classes where users have a Purdue career account.
- Will host all non-credit and non-academic classes where enrollment includes Purdue students.
- All users must have Purdue career accounts to log in to this campus.
- Classes are manually created by Teaching and Learning Technologies upon request at
itap@purdue.edu.
- All users are added manually and students can self-register.
- Teaching Assistants and Designers can be added via the grade book. Contact itap@purdue.edu to add additional instructors.
