Course Description:
This course is designed to teach students how to set up and maintain a secure personal computer and what best practices for information security are. Antivirus, antispyware, Windows updates, and data backups will be the key focus points Objectives 1. Define the basic concepts of desktop security 2. Familiarize users with some antivirus solutions 3. Familiarize users with spyware and some antispyware solutions 4. Describe phishing schemes and how to avoid them 5. Explain the purpose and use of firewalls
